Job summary

Emerus is seeking a patient care technician to provide technical assistance and supportive care during night shifts (7pm–7am) in a small-format hospital setting. You will collect clinical data, take vital signs, assist with patient activities, and maintain a safe, clean environment.

Responsibilities include lab specimen collection, basic lab testing under policy and CLIA standards, and supporting admission, transfer, and discharge processes as directed by the charge nurse.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS/ALS certification is required in most markets.

Responsibilities

• Collect, report, and document clinical data.
• Take vital signs and collect specimens.
• Assist with patient activities and care per plan of care.
• Provide superficial wound care and ensure patient safety.
• Maintain patient privacy and infection control.
• Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge.
