Nutex Health, Inc. invites you to join our New Braunfels ER as a Patient Services Representative (FT, Nights). This role focuses on smooth check-in/check-out, accurate data collection, and guiding patients through services in a fast-paced ER environment.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma and at least 2 years of Patient Access experience in a hospital or ER setting, with strong communication and organizational skills for efficient throughput and patient safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Patient Access Representative in a Hospital, ER, or Clinic.
• Experience in medical registration, admitting and scheduling in an ER setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Front Desk Operations: greet patients, determine required services and direct patients; collect demographic data and obtain signatures for billing; maintain logs and manage phone inquiries; keep the area clean and welcoming.
• Financial Responsibilities: collect payments (cash, checks, credit cards) for co-pays and balances; maintain a daily financial ledger and reconcile accounts.
• Facility Cleanliness: assist in maintaining cleanliness of facility, patient areas and restrooms.
• Communication Skills: interact courteously with patients, families, physicians and team members; uphold Emergency Center values.
• Professional Development: attend monthly staff meetings and participate in performance improvement activities.
• Other Duties: assist management with additional tasks or projects as assigned.
