Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Weston Hospital in Weston, FL seeks a Paramedic for the Emergency Department to provide immediate medical care in a fast-paced setting, nights 7:00 pm–7:30 am. You’ll join a multi-disciplinary team using state-of-the-art technology to deliver patient-centered care 24/7.

The role requires EMS-Paramedic training, EMTP license, BLS/ACLS/PALS, and clinical EMS experience. Weston's ED emphasizes rapid assessment, decisive action and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited EMS-Paramedic Training Program.
• Current licensure as an EMTP.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required or within one year.
• Clinical experience through an EMS Paramedic Training Program.
• Newborn Resuscitation Program within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintain equipment.
• Assess nature and extent of illness/injury and patient's history.
• Determine independent or collaborative response.
• Administer emergency medical care including life support and monitoring.
• Perform fluid/drug administration as needed.
• Communicate with hospital staff and hand-off if transported.
