Job summary

Riverview Freestanding Emergency Fishers is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department on a PRN night shift. The RN will perform initial assessments, lab work, point-of-care testing, and related administrative tasks to support patient care in a fast-paced ED.

The role collaborates with physicians on discharge plans, educates patients at discharge, and transfers patients as needed. Requirements include graduation from an accredited RN program, Indiana RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS/ENPC,

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse Program by date of hire.
• Two (2) years of Critical Care experience.
• Preferred: Two (2) years of Emergency Department experience.
• Indiana RN license required; ENPC/ACLS/BLS/PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Triages patients in the Emergency Department based on severity.
• Assesses patient condition via visual eval, meds, vitals.
• Administers medication and assists with procedures.
• Monitors patient status and communicates changes timely.
• Collaborates with care team on discharge or admission.
• Charts medical history, treatments, and EMR updates.
• Discharges patients and provides discharge instructions.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
