Job summary

Post Falls ER & Hospital is seeking a dedicated Emergency Department Registered Nurse for a 0.75 FTE night shift. The role emphasizes rapid assessment, triage, and delivering high-quality acute care across all ages in a fast-paced ED.

The RN will supervise support staff, advocate for patients, collaborate with physicians, and participate in ongoing education to enhance clinical skills and patient outcomes in a community-focused hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Two years of emergency room experience.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Licensure with the State Board of Nurse Examiners for their state.
• Current BCLS/CPR, ACLS, PALS, ENPC, and TNCC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patient Assessment: Conduct head‑to‑toe assessments to determine severity.
• Triage: Assign triage categories for timely care.
• Emergency Care: Provide care to patients of all ages per protocols.
• Medication Administration: Administer medications with the five rights.
• Supervision: Oversee ERTs and other staff for efficient workflow.
• Patient Advocacy: Explain procedures and provide education and support.
• Collaboration: Develop and implement patient care plans with physicians.
• Infection Control: Maintain clean, safe environment.
• Continuous Education: Engage in training and quality improvement.
