Job summary

Mount Carmel Lewis Center seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time night shift position in its Free-Standing Emergency Department. The role involves working three 12-hour shifts per week from 7pm to 7:30am, with every third weekend and rotating holidays.

You will provide patient-centered care within Ohio Nurse Practice Act guidelines and the organization’s policies. The RN will collaborate with a care team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, ensuring safety, documentation

Qualifications

• Graduate from school of nursing and hold Ohio RN license.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
• For Casual RNs 2 years of experience is required; new grads may enter Nurse Residency.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care, ensures an environment of patient safety, promotes evidence-based practice and quality initiatives.
• Assesses and evaluates patient care for an assigned group of patients, collaborating with patient and family to develop a plan of care.
• Accurately communicates pertinent information to appropriate team members in a timely manner.
• Documents accurately and completely pertinent assessments, interventions and outcomes for patients in accordance with documentation standards.
• Assumes responsibility and accountability for care provided and documented by other licensed and unlicensed care givers as appropriate.
