Job summary

HCA Florida South Shore Hospital is seeking an ER Registered Nurse for a nights shift in our fast-paced, high-acuity Emergency Department. You will deliver high-quality nursing care, handle triage and admissions, and collaborate with a dedicated team to support patient outcomes in a dynamic environment.

The role requires FL RN licensure (compact accepted), a Nursing Diploma or ASN (BSN preferred), and certifications including BLS, ACLS, PALS/ENPC, NIHSS within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Must hold Florida RN license (or compact license) with active FL RN within 60 days of hire.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN is required; BSN preferred.
• ACLS, PALS/ENPC and NIHSS certifications required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Previous acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage efficient flow of patients including triage, screening, preparation for exam, general nursing care, and arranging tests/admissions.
• Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
• Maintain and review patients’ records including posting tests/exams results.
• Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
