Job summary

Mount Sinai Medical Center is seeking a Night Shift RN for the Emergency Department to deliver high‑quality ER care across the 7p–7a shift. You will perform age‑specific triage, assess patients, and implement care plans in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include monitoring vitals, interpreting EKGs, managing vasoactive medications, and coordinating discharge planning to meet the core needs of patients and families. A Florida license and ACLS/BLS are required upon hire.

Qualifications

• Current Florida nursing license; Workplace Violence Program within 90 days of employment.
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS or ENPC within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Knowledgeable of EMTALA laws governing transfer in and out of the Emergency Room.
• Assess age-specific safety issues for ER patients.
• Interpret age-specific response for trauma patients.
• Document discharge planning focusing on core needs of the population served.
• Interpret EKG tracing (arrhythmia recognition and management).
• Monitor and document hemodynamic response to vasoactive drug administration.
