Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Environmental Services Aide at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago. The role involves cleaning, floor care, waste handling, and maintaining a clean and safe hospital environment.

Schedule is 5pm to 1:30am with rotating weekends and holidays, 20 hours per week, with a pay range of $19.80–$29.70 per hour. High school diploma or GED required, 1–2 years of housekeeping experience preferred, and ability to operate small electric equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
• 1–2 years of housekeeping experience preferred.
• Ability to operate small electrical equipment and read safety labels.

Responsibilities

• Scrub, strip, polish and refinish floors using appropriate equipment.
• Operate cleaning equipment including vacuums and floor machines.
• Clean or sanitize after emergencies as needed.
• Maintain floors and carpets according to department processes.
• Demonstrate courteous, professional patient and staff interactions.
• Follow safety guidelines and hospital policies during waste handling.
