Job summary

Advocate Health in Chicago seeks an Environmental Services Aide to maintain cleanliness across hospital spaces. You will scrub and polish floors, operate cleaning equipment, and ensure safe waste handling. The job requires a high school diploma or GED and prior housekeeping experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years housekeeping experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills.
• Able to operate small electrical equipment (vacuum, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Scrub, strip, polish and refinishing floors using appropriate equipment and supplies.
• Operate cleaning equipment (ringers, vacuum, electric floor machines, sweepers).
• Remove and dispose of rubbish and waste following safety guidelines.
• Cross-train on discharge room cleans and OR cleaning as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and assist with department tasks as directed.
