Lynx EMS in Dayton, OH is seeking a Night Shift EMT to provide uninterrupted patient transport and high-quality care during overnight hours. The role emphasizes independent work, quick decision-making, and clear communication with dispatch and hospital partners.

You will perform patient assessments, document accurately, and maintain readiness of the ambulance and equipment while adhering to state regulations and company protocols, contributing to safe, reliable night operations.

Qualifications

• Current State EMT Certification (or reciprocity eligible).
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work overnight shifts independently while staying connected with dispatch.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to emergency and non-emergency calls during overnight hours.
• Deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care in accordance with state regulations and company protocols.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ensure accurate, timely documentation.
• Safely operate the ambulance in nighttime and low-visibility conditions.
• Maintain readiness of assigned unit, including cleaning, restocking, and equipment checks.
• Communicate clearly with dispatch, hospitals, and healthcare staff to ensure coordinated care.
• Adhere strictly to safety standards, compliance requirements, and operational procedures.
• Demonstrate sound decision-making and situational awareness in high-pressure environments.
