MLK Community Healthcare in Los Angeles, CA is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician to assist the Emergency Department physicians and nurses in delivering safe, efficient patient care during the night shift (7pm start).

You will participate in patient assessment, vital signs, care coordination, and discharge instructions while maintaining scope of practice and hospital policies. High School diploma and EMT licensure are required, with BLS and certification training encouraged.

Qualificações

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• EMT or Paramedic licensure is required and must be maintained.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• EKG certification preferred and training will be provided.
• Must complete Workplace Violence Prevention Program certificate within 30 days of hire.

Responsabilidades

• Provides patient care in accordance with hospital standards within scope of practice.
• Communicates effectively with patients and families in stressful situations.
• Assist in explaining and documenting post-care instructions for patients.
• Maintains supplies and equipment functioning.
• Record vital signs as directed by staff.
• Respond to patient call signals to determine needs.
• Assist in efficient patient care flow and discharge planning.
