Sharp HealthCare in San Diego, CA, seeks an Emergency Department EMT to assist the registered nurse, physician assistant or physician with simple procedures and direct patient care for infants, children and adults, under the direction of a RN.

Required: HS diploma and AHA BLS for Healthcare Professionals. Preferred: 2 years in an emergency department, current EMT or Paramedic certification, NVCI within 90 days of hire, and CEUs.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• AHA BLS for Healthcare Professionals required.
• Current San Diego County EMT certificate or Paramedic certificate.
• NVCI certification within 90 days of hire or transfer.
• Annual CEUs (min 10) related to work.

Responsabilités

• Assist RNs, PAs or physicians with simple procedures and patient care.
• Provide or assist with splinting, casting and transporting patients as needed.
• Maintain unit equipment checks and documentation to meet requirements.
