Job summary

Sharp HealthCare in Oceanside, CA is seeking a Staff Registered Nurse (RN) to perform patient assessments and contribute to an interdisciplinary care plan. You will educate patients and families, assist in supervising staff, and uphold professional standards within the department.

$44.670 - $56.760 - $68.850

This position is covered by a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) with CNA.

What You Will Do

The staff Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who performs patient assessment, develops, implements and evaluates effectiveness of an interdisciplinary plan of care for patient populations with various diagnoses. Maintains professional standards of conduct and ethics as outlined in department expectations and professional organizations. Provides education to patients, families, caregivers and other health professionals. Assists in the supervision of other staff members, students and volunteers, as appropriate. Demonstrates awareness and sensitivity to patients'/caregivers' rights, as identified within the institution.

Required Qualifications

• Six (6) months of Emergency experience as a Registered Nurse, required. May consider (2) years of expereience in an acute care hospital in lieu of emergency experience. One (1) year experience in acute care, sub-acute care, rehab setting or urgent care center.
• California Registered Nurse (RN) - CA Board of Registered Nursing -REQUIRED
• AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - American Heart Association -REQUIRED

Other Qualification Requirements

• Current ACLS required upon hire; American Heart Association Healthcare Provider. Transitional: within 90 days. - REQUIRED PALS within 180 days of hire. Transitional: within 180 days. - REQUIRED NVCI within 90 days of hire or by the end of orientation, whichever comes first. - REQUIRED NIH Stroke Scale within 90 days of hire. - REQUIRED
