Job summary

Sharp Tri-City Medical Center in Oceanside, CA is hiring an Emergency Medical Technician for night shift. The EMT supports RNs, PAs and physicians with basic procedures and patient care, including transport and simple interventions in the ED.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, current AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers, and prior ED experience is preferred. Candidates must meet physical demands and maintain clear communication in English.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate effectively in oral and written form in English.
• Computer skills preferred.
• Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job (light to heavy lifting and/or pushing of patients or equipment).

Responsibilities

• Assists RNs, PAs or physicians with simple procedures and patient care.
• Provides or assists with splinting, casting, immobilizing of patient extremities.
• Assists with transporting patients to and from the ED.
• Performs daily unit equipment checks and logs per JCAHO/DHS requirements.
• Assists with inventory, stocking, and ordering of supplies and equipment.
