Job summary

Amentum is hiring an Engine Test Technician to work in the Engine Dyno lab in Dearborn, MI. This role focuses on non-procedural dynamometer testing for gasoline and diesel engines, with data collection and analysis to support development and durability testing.

The ideal candidate has automotive knowledge, strong communication skills, and is able to work on a 3PM–11:30PM shift. Benefits are offered and opportunities for growth exist within the company.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• Knowledge of engines and powertrain.
• Experience with gasoline/diesel engine testing preferred.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct engine dynamometer testing across gasoline/diesel engines.
• Support development, durability and performance testing in the dynamometer facility.
• Collect, review and validate test data for accuracy and completeness.
• Interface with engineers and supervisors on updates/new test procedures and equipment.
