Job summary

UCLA Health in West Hills, California, is seeking an Emergency Trauma Tech for the West Valley mid-shift. The role requires 12-hour shifts from 12pm to 12:30am, including weekends and holidays, in a fast-paced trauma and emergency setting.

The technician performs basic patient care, infection control, and equipment setup, supports transporting patients, ADL assistance, and performs EKGs and finger-stick glucose checks. Salary range shown below.

Responsibilities

• The Emergency Trauma Techs perform basic patient care skills, follow infection control practices, assist in set up of equipment for procedures, provide direct patient care in trauma/ emergency situations, and have knowledge and direct experience with orthopedic injuries and splint placement.
• The emergency trauma tech assists nurses in transporting patients, assisting patients with ADL, collecting specimens, performing EKGs and finger stick blood sugar checks.
