Job summary

St. Mary's Hospital – Kankakee is seeking a Temporary Internal Registry RN for the Night Shift in Kankakee. The role supports Telemetry and Emergency Department patient care, delivering safe nursing practices under the nursing process.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ALS certificate within 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC within 60 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel in Telemetry and ED.
• Communicate changes in patient condition with physicians and document results and symptomatology.
