Job summary

St. Charles Health System is seeking an Emergency Department Technician for 24/7 coverage across its Bend and Redmond facilities. Float positions may require shifts with little notice, and staff will work under RN supervision to deliver quality patient care in the ED.

Required: HS diploma or GED; EMT/CNA/MA/Paramedic or RN student preferred. BLS certification is typical; duties include observation, patient hygiene, and teamwork to maintain a safe environment.

Qualifications

• Required: High school graduate or GED equivalent.
• Must be willing to take additional courses as required for the position.
• Preferred: EMT, CNA, MA, Paramedic, or RN student status.

Responsibilities

• Recognizes, reports, and records observations and care provided.
• Functions as an unlicensed assistive care provider under RN supervision.
• Performs tasks as delegated by the RN with demonstrated competency.
• Provides patient care hygiene as needed.
• Stocks unit, transports patients, and keeps the unit clean.
