Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA seeks an Emergency Department Technician to join our on-site team for night shifts. You will assist physicians, advanced practitioners, and nurses in implementing care plans for emergency and minor emergency patients, performing procedures under supervision.

This full-time role requires EMT-B or equivalent certification, and BLS within 90 days; de-escalation and physical intervention training within 15 days.

Qualifications

• Requires EMT-B with state or national certification at time of hire or equivalent.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current student in a clinical program may qualify.

Responsibilities

• Assist Physicians, Advanced Practitioners, or Nurses in implementing care plans.
• Perform patient procedures and treatments under supervision.
• Support the ED team during night shifts.
