Job summary

UNC Health Nash is seeking a Clinical Nurse to provide competent nursing care in a hospital setting, coordinating patient care through the nursing process. The role reports to the Nurse Manager/Director and involves ensuring high-quality care for diverse patient populations.

The successful candidate will participate in education, evaluation, planning, and interdisciplinary collaboration while maintaining a focus on safety and timely discharge planning. Night shifts and onsite work are required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a school of professional nursing.
• Licensed to practice as an RN in North Carolina; BLS certification.
• One year of nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Education: identify learning needs and assess readiness to learn.
• Evaluation of Care: participate in care plan evaluation with the team.
• Implementation: provide competent nursing care and prioritize patient needs.
• Leadership: contribute to unit goals and intra/interdepartmental collaboration.
• Patient Assessment: recognize data to determine priorities for care.
• Planning: collaborate with patient/family to plan care and utilize resources.
• Research: engage with current studies and apply relevant findings.
