Job summary

Pennex in Leetonia, OH, is seeking an Electromechanical Maintenance Specialist to safeguard uptime on aluminum extrusion and casting equipment. You will diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, combustion, and PLC systems on night shift.

You’ll own preventive maintenance for extrusion presses, furnaces, and related machinery, perform daily system checks, document work in the CMMS, and uphold safety and housekeeping standards.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical training completed.
• 5+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• 2–5 years of electrical experience; 5–7 years preferred.
• Proficiency in welding; hydraulic/pneumatic circuits; relay and PLC logic.
• Ability to read safety rules, prints, schematics, and BOMs.
• Comfort with rulers, micrometers, and related measuring tools.
• Strong documentation skills for CMMS.

Responsibilities

• Respond to breakdown calls and set repair priorities.
• Diagnose and fix bearings, couplings, gear reducers, alignments.
• Own preventive maintenance on extrusion presses, furnaces, and casting units.
• Daily system health checks on air, water, and presses.
• Install/modify equipment to boost reliability and safety.
• Close out work in CMMS with accurate documentation.
• Follow safety rules and maintain clean workspaces.
