Job summary

Astemo, Ltd. is seeking a Manufacturing Mechanical Equipment Technician for 3rd shift (11:00 PM - 7:30 AM) in Sunbury, OH. This entry-level role involves assisting mechanical engineers, fabricating and installing components, and performing QA tests on manufacturing equipment.

The position requires lifting up to 35 pounds and frequent overtime as needed. Work location is in person. Candidates should have about 2 years of related education or training and be capable of reading technical drawings,

Qualifications

2 years related education, experience or training required.
Experience in electro-mechanical, automotive, farm equipment, industrial maintenance, or related mechanical fields encouraged.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and procedures.
Ability to troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
Ability to troubleshoot electrical components and PLC/robot programs.

Responsibilities

Adhere to ASI's Safety Policy and promptly report unsafe conditions to Safety or supervisor.
Ensure proper safety practices are in place and enforced on the production floor.
Promote, improve and enforce 6S and safety objectives.
Hands-on position involved in ongoing production floor activities.
Resolve production equipment concerns and implement continuous improvements within cross-functional teams.
