Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. is hiring an Electrician for our Canton, OH facility. The role focuses on installation and repair of electrical systems in industrial machinery, with a 7:00 pm–7:00 am 2-2-3 night schedule.

The position requires 3 years of related experience, an Associate degree or equivalent, and the ability to read and interpret technical documents. Eligible employees receive medical, dental, 401(k) with immediate vesting, and paid time off starting day one.

Qualifications

• 3 years related experience and/or training; Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Industrial electrical work and maintenance.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents such as technical procedures, governmental regulations, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, drawings, and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Install power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment such as robots, conveyors, and programmable controllers.
• Diagnose malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors and lighting fixtures and replace damaged or broken wires and cables.
• Troubleshoot PLC programming and various communication formats.
• Replace faulty electrical components such as relays, switches, motors, and sensors.
• Diagnose and repair or replace faulty components such as printed circuit boards.
• Replace and rewires motors.
• Work with 480V 3 Phase electricity and high voltage up to 12,470 V.
• Knowledge of the National Electric Code and OSHA regulations.
