Job summary

Sherwin-Williams in Chicago is seeking an Electrician to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment in a safety-conscious maintenance environment.

You will work night shift Monday–Thursday, 8:00pm–6:30am, performing electrical repairs, reading diagrams, operating shop tools, and supporting other departments while adhering to safety rules and the company's collective bargaining agreement.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Must have at least one (1) year of work experience using material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, etc.).
• Must be a licensed Electrician Journeyman.

Responsibilities

• Compliance with safety rules and procedures.
• Operate shop tools and equipment related to maintenance.
• Make repairs and adjustments to machinery and assist in dismantling parts for repair or replacement.
• Assist in electrical projects and perform minor electrical repairs.
• Understand electrical and pneumatic diagrams; familiar with 12 VDC to 480 VAC wiring and diagnosing 115 VAC control circuits.
• Repair power industrial equipment and assist in rebuilding related equipment.
• Maintain and service HVAC, lighting, water and sewer systems and more.
• Assist in installing new plant equipment.
• Assist other departments as needed.
• Perform duties related to Journeyman position.
• Comply with Divisional and Site initiatives such as eAM.
• Use computers to process required paperwork.
• Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns.
• Use Computer Maintenance Management System to manage work.
