Job summary

Amcor is hiring a Certified Electrician in Batavia, IL to install and maintain wiring, control and lighting systems. You will inspect electrical components, diagnose problems, and repair or replace wiring and equipment.

The role requires daily electrical maintenance, adherence to safety policies, and collaboration with teams. Shift: 12-hour nights with potential day-shift training; benefits start day one.

Qualifications

• 1 year prior electrical experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Good computer skills.
• Ability to work in a team-based environment, assist others when needed and lead by example while focusing on safety, quality and productivity.
• Must believe in promoting a positive culture within the facility.
• Communication skills – written/oral
• Analytical skills/problem solving
• Physically able to work in a manufacturing production environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily electrical maintenance, repair and installation of equipment.
• Perform mechanical, electrical, and preventive (PM) maintenance functions.
• Document changes to electrical drawings.
• Assist in layouts, installation, movement or dismantling of plant equipment.
• Assist in inventories of maintenance parts and tools to keep equipment running.
• Assist machine operators and supervisors on equipment modifications and time estimates for repairs.
• Must maintain knowledge of National Electrical Codes for proper installation and protection of electrical equipment.
