Job summary
Amcor is seeking a Certified Electrician to install and maintain wiring, control, and lighting systems in our Batavia, IL facility. The role covers 12-hour night shifts with daytime training available, and requires adherence to safety policies and strong teamwork.
Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and providing support to operators and supervisors on equipment modifications. PLCs, motor controls, and electrical drawings are part of daily work, with opportunities
Qualifications
- 1 year electrical experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Good computer skills.
- Ability to work in a team-based environment and lead by example while focusing on safety, quality and productivity.
- Belief in promoting a positive culture within the facility.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily electrical maintenance, repair and installation of equipment.
- Document changes to electrical drawings.
- Maintain knowledge of National Electrical Codes for proper installation and protection of electrical equipment.
- Assist in inventories of maintenance parts and tools to keep equipment running smoothly.
- Provide technical advice to machine operators and supervisors on equipment modifications and repair time estimates.
