Job summary

Employbridge in Gastonia, NC is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician for the 3rd shift to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain highly automated production equipment with emphasis on electrical systems and controls. The role focuses on reliability and uptime in a modern manufacturing environment.

The candidate will need PLC experience, Siemens S5 familiarity, and the ability to read electrical schematics.

Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting industrial electrical systems and machine controls.
• Strong PLC troubleshooting skills including PLC‑controlled equipment.
• Familiarity with Siemens S5 PLCs (required).
• Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair production equipment focusing on electrical, electronic, and control systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on automated manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot PLC-controlled systems, sensors, relays, field devices and wiring.
• Repair electrical components such as motors, drives, relays, switches and sensors.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and panel layouts.
• Support equipment upgrades and reliability initiatives.
• Document maintenance activities and downtime in CMMS.
