Job summary

WorkSmart Staffing is hiring a 3rd shift Maintenance Technician for Arden, NC. The role is full-time, direct hire, with a Sunday-Thursday schedule from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM. Pay range is $27-$32 per hour.

The technician will service electrical and mechanical systems on production equipment, including PLCs, VFDs, hydraulic circuits, and ammonia/refrigeration compressors, while supporting packaging lines and continuous improvement using 5S standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience with PLC and industrial electrical experience.
• Experience with packaging/high speed production (e.g., bottling, consumer products).
• Experience with hydraulic systems (high pressure cylinders, pumps, valves).
• Experience with compressors/ammonia systems (e.g., refrigeration).
• Working knowledge of Microsoft applications.

Responsibilities

• Experience with electrical systems installation, frequency drive (VFD) and troubleshooting.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on advanced production equipment.
• Understand and follow mechanical and electrical schematics.
• Assist with package changeovers when required.
• Perform general housekeeping and 5S standards.
