Employbridge in Gastonia, NC is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician for the 3rd shift to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain highly automated production equipment with emphasis on electrical systems and controls. The role focuses on reliability and uptime in a modern manufacturing environment.

The candidate will need PLC experience, Siemens S5 familiarity, and the ability to read electrical schematics.

Electrical Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift

Location: Gastonia, NC

Shift: Sunday-Thursday | 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Employment Type: Direct Hire, Full-Time

Pay: $35-$38/hour

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to join a growing manufacturing operation in Gastonia, NC. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining highly automated production equipment with a focus on electrical systems, controls, and equipment reliability.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on maintenance professional who enjoys troubleshooting complex equipment, supporting production uptime, and working in a highly automated manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair production equipment with a focus on electrical, electronic, and control systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on automated manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot PLC-controlled systems, including sensors, relays, field devices, wiring, and control components.
• Repair and replace electrical components such as motors, drives, contactors, relays, overloads, switches, and sensors.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and technical manuals.
• Support equipment upgrades, process improvements, and reliability initiatives.
• Document maintenance activities, downtime events, and repair work within the maintenance management system.
• Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in industrial electrical systems and machine controls.
• Experience with PLC‑controlled equipment.
• Working knowledge of Siemens S5 PLCs is required.
• Experience reading electrical schematics and troubleshooting electrical circuits.
• Experience working with industrial motors, drives, relays, sensors, and control components.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues independently.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Siemens S7 PLCs.
• Experience with automated manufacturing equipment.
• Experience with SAP‑PM or other CMMS systems.
• Knowledge of HMIs, industrial networking, and controls diagnostics.
