Job summary

SBA Group's SBA Home North Carolina facility is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to support a highly automated manufacturing site serving the U.S. market.

The role focuses on diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, automated equipment, and production machinery to ensure safe, reliable operations. The position offers night shift hours after training (10pm–6am; first shift 6am–2pm) with opportunities for professional growth, teamwork, and a path to advance within a growing

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
• Proven experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced automated environment.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repairs on electrical systems, automated equipment, machinery, and facility electrical components.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, control, and automation issues to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.
• Install, test, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, motors, drives, sensors, PLCs, control panels, and related equipment.
• Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to support equipment reliability and continuous improvement.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, diagrams, and manuals to troubleshoot and maintain equipment.
• Prepare and maintain work instructions related to electrical maintenance, safety procedures, TPM activities, and standard work.
• Fabricate, modify, or repair electrical components and wiring systems using appropriate tools.
• Ensure electrical work complies with quality standards, OSHA regulations, codes, safety, and environmental policies.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, repair docs, inspection reports, and inventory usage in the CMMS.
• Support installation, startup, and commissioning of new electrical equipment, automation systems, and production machinery.
