Job summary

Bongards Premium Cheese in Norwood, MN is seeking a dedicated Electrical Controls Technician for the 3rd shift. The hours are 10 pm to 6 am, Sunday Night thru Thursday Night.

You will maintain electrical & instrumentation systems in a high-speed dairy facility, install and troubleshoot PLCs and VFDs, and ensure GMP, SOP, and safety compliance. Training and documentation are essential as you collaborate with operations to keep production safe, efficient and compliant while driving continuous

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of experience in a high-speed manufacturing facility.
• Advanced electrical and process troubleshooting skills.
• Must follow GMP, SOP, and safety guidelines.
• Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and perform electrical & instrumentation related maintenance activities.
• Perform routine corrective maintenance, preventive maintenance, equipment and system improvements.
• Instrument calibration and corrective/preventive maintenance on instrument equipment and control systems.
• Install, program, maintain, troubleshoot, repair and service programmable logic controllers, variable frequency drives and electrical support systems.
• Prepare and install solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards and programming.
• Develop electrical controls by researching, analyzing, selecting and applying electrical controls concepts.
• Implement electrical controls design by providing installation, start-up and technical support.
• Maintain detailed documentation of all plant electrical & control systems, instrument calibration records and related data.
