Job summary

Bongards Premium Cheese seeks an Electrical Controls Technician for the Norwood facility, on the 3rd shift (10 pm–6 am, Sun–Thu). You will maintain electrical and instrumentation systems, calibrate instruments, and support PLC/SCADA installs and troubleshooting to ensure smooth production.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in high-speed manufacturing, strong wiring and PLC skills, and a commitment to GMPs and safety. Join a culture focused on quality and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of experience in high-speed manufacturing.
• Advanced electrical and process troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs.
• Experience wiring control components including VFDs, PLCs, motor circuits, safety circuits.
• Must follow GMPs, SOPs, and safety guidelines.
• Must report food safety problems to supervisor.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and perform electrical & instrumentation maintenance activities.
• Perform routine corrective maintenance, preventive maintenance, equipment and system improvements
• Perform routine instrument calibration and corrective/preventive maintenance on instrument equipment and control systems.
• Install, program maintain, troubleshoot, repair and service programmable logic controllers, variable frequency drives and electrical support systems
• Prepare and install solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards and programming.
• Develop electrical controls by researching, analyzing, selecting and applying electrical controls concepts.
• Implement electrical controls design by providing installation, start-up and technical support.
• Maintain detailed documentation of all plant electrical & control systems, instrument calibration records and related data.
