Job summary

Saputo Cheese USA Inc. is seeking a PLC Technician for the night shift to ensure reliable operation of advanced automation systems. You will install, test, maintain, and repair automation equipment, calibrate instruments, and support plant efficiency through proactive maintenance.

The role requires expertise in PLC/HMI programming, instrumentation, and control systems, with coordination of vendors and engineers. Strong problem solving and safety compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• AS degree in industrial controls technologies or 3–5 years of experience in instrumentation/automation.
• PLC, HMI or DCS certifications preferred.
• Advanced understanding of automated control systems and integration (electronics, robotics, sensors, pneumatics).
• Calibration experience is a plus.
• HART communication experience is a plus.
• CMMS Software experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, maintain, inspect, modify, and repair automation equipment and controls systems.
• Coordinate with engineers and vendors to support plant operations and new projects.
• Troubleshoot faults and diagnose causes using manuals, SOPs and specifications.
• Update and debug PLC, HMI, and other control software; recommend hardware upgrades.
• Provide guidance and training to supervisors and maintenance staff.
