Job summary

Lexington Health Northeast Emergency Department is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist for the night shift. You will independently operate ultrasound equipment, image acquisitions, and communicate results to the Radiologist and care team.

Responsibilities include assisting with invasive procedures, maintaining equipment and patient safety, and coordinating with staff to ensure timely and accurate sonographic exams for diverse patient populations.

Qualifications

• RDMS certification is required; must obtain RDMS within one year if not already held.
• BLS certification or obtain within 3 months of employment; CME requirements as applicable.
• Registry eligibility considered with an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Allied Health, then RDMS within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Operate ultrasound equipment independently and perform diagnostic examinations.
• Assist Radiologist with invasive procedures in acute care settings.
• Communicate results clearly to physicians and care teams.
• Maintain equipment and department sanitation and safety standards.
• Provide developmentally appropriate care for patients of all ages.
