Job summary

The Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital Emergency Department is seeking a Full Time Nights ED Technician for 7P-7A in Charlottesville, VA. The ED Technician assists the physician, advanced practitioner, or nurse in implementing care plans for emergency and minor emergency patients and performs procedures under supervision.

Certification requirements include BLS within 90 days and one of EMT-B certification, Military Hospital Corps School MMAC, or active enrollment in a clinical program.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• EMT-B certification or equivalent, or alternative qualification per the criteria.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians, advanced practitioners or nurses in implementing plans of care for emergency patients.
• Perform patient procedures and treatments under supervision in the ED.
