Job summary

Responsibilities include moving stable patients, transporting equipment and specimens, maintaining department order, and assisting with meals and directions for visitors. This position requires maintaining BLS certification and upholding patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Must maintain current BLS/CPR certification.
• Ability to transport stable patients within the department and to other areas.
• Capable of handling equipment and maintaining departmental cleanliness.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Transport stable, non-monitored patients within the department and to diagnostic areas.
• Assist with equipment transport and restock supplies as needed.
• Deliver and return lab specimens and x-ray films.
• Maintain order and cleanliness of the department and kitchen area.
• Assist with patient meals and directions for families/visitors.
• Attend departmental meetings and participate in education activities.
• Maintain confidentiality and report hazards to management.
