Qualifications

• Maintains current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Transport stable, non-monitored patients within the department and to other areas within the health care system.
• Transport equipment within the department and to other departments.
• Replace contaminated waste containers and maintain stock of supplies and equipment.
• Deliver and return lab specimens and x-ray films.
• Maintain department and kitchen area order and cleanliness.
• Assist with patient meals and dietary orders.
• Provide directions to families and visitors.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information and hospital operations.
• Support room preparation for new patients and participate in meetings/education.
