Job summary

UP Health System - Marquette, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks an Emergency Department RN for night shifts. The role offers a $7,500 sign-on bonus for well-qualified applicants and a full-time, 0.9 FTE schedule (72 hours per pay period) with rotating weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities include medication administration, patient care documentation, and interdepartmental collaboration to coordinate transfers, discharges, and education for patients and families.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in Michigan with an Associate's degree in nursing; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Current Michigan RN license is required; BLS-HCP and other certifications are expected.
• 1–2 years of inpatient med/surg or critical care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration and clinical treatments.
• Documents patient care provided and monitors patient condition for care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living and coordinates across disciplines for transfer, discharge, or referrals.
• Provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, and condition; advocates for patient well-being.

Education

Associate's degree in nursing

Bachelor's degree preferred

Michigan RN license
