Job summary

Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster, OH is seeking a Part-Time Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department night shift. The RN must have completed an accredited nursing program, possess a valid Ohio license, CPR certification, and is preferred to have prior nursing experience.

Responsibilities include assessing and planning patient care, educating patients and families, documenting care, and coordinating with physicians for smooth transitions.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and supervise patient care using the nursing process.
• Provides quality nursing care based on a family centered approach.
• Provides education for the patient and family/significant other from admission through discharge process.
• Provides thorough, concise, accurate and legible documentation of the nursing process.
• Works closely with physicians and other team members addressing patient/family concerns to ensure a smooth transition of care.
• Administers medications and performs treatments in an accurate safe manner.
• Ensures clinic processes and workflows comply with FMC policies and procedures.
• Ensures equipment and supplies are readily available for patient care, reporting malfunctions to proper department.
