Job summary

WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals in Fairmont, WV is seeking a registered nurse for inpatient care on night shift (7p-7:30a), 36 hours per week. You will deliver professional nursing care using the nursing process, assess patients, and educate families while collaborating with an interprofessional team.

The role requires an RN license, BLS certification within 30 days, and offers growth through the CAPE program. Level progression and ongoing competencies are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Current RN license issued by the state where services will be provided or multi-state license via eNLC.
• BLS certification to be obtained within 30 days of hire date.
• BSN preferred for this role.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates safety and continuity of care using documentation and handoff tools/processes.
• Demonstrates ability to create plan of care using the nursing process: assessment, diagnoses, interventions, and evaluation of outcomes.
• Recognizes patient safety concerns and utilizes appropriate resources.
