Baystate Health is seeking a Patient Liaison for the Emergency Department at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA. The role involves greeting patients and families, coordinating care, and ensuring clear communication across care teams, with 12-hour night shifts and 36 hours per week.

The position emphasizes compassionate, age-appropriate care, conflict de-escalation, and collaboration with physicians, nurses, and staff to improve patient experience.

Competenze

• GED or HiSET required.
• Experience assisting patients and families is preferred.
• Comfort with coordinating with care teams in a busy ED.

Mansioni

• Greet and assist patients, families, and visitors in the Emergency Department.
• Serve as liaison between patients, families and care teams for timely communication.
• Conduct regular rounds in waiting and treatment areas to identify needs and provide updates.
• Promote a welcoming, compassionate environment while delivering age-appropriate care.
• Coordinate discharge transportation and assist with virtual communications.
• Support department operations through teamwork and timely escalation of concerns.
