Job summary

Sweeping Corporation of America is hiring a Diesel Mechanic in Dallas–Fort Worth area. You will inspect, diagnose, and repair hydraulic, electrical, and air systems to keep sweepers and fleet equipment safe and ready. The role requires hands-on maintenance with heavy machinery and adherence to safety procedures.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, tool usage, and accurate documentation. The position offers a 3rd shift schedule (10:00 PM–6:30 AM) and minimal travel, with compensation

Qualifications

• Education: High School or GED required.
• Experience: 2 years in a shop with hydraulic, electrical and air systems; heavy equipment experience preferred.
• License: Driver’s License required.
• Provide and maintain basic hand and diagnostic tools.
• Must be 18+ and pass MVR, background check, DOT physical, and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Safety & inspection: perform thorough inspections and follow lockout/tagout procedures.
• Execution: carry out repair and maintenance tasks per specs and torque requirements.
• Equipment operation: use diagnostic tools to identify problems on heavy equipment.
• Material handling: safely manage parts, lubricants, and fluids per procedures.
• Reporting: promptly report issues and safety concerns to management.
• Communication: convey maintenance needs and updates to operators and team.
• Compliance: adhere to safety, environmental, and maintenance regulations; complete documentation.
• Adaptability: diagnose and adapt to unexpected failures, collaborating on solutions.
