Sweeping Corporation of America in Dallas, TX is seeking an Overnight Diesel Mechanic for the 3rd shift to keep our street sweepers and heavy equipment safe, reliable, and ready to serve the communities we support.

You will perform inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on hydraulic, electrical, and air systems, follow safety protocols, document maintenance activities, and communicate status to operators and teammates.

Qualifications

• Education: High School or GED.
• Experience: 2 years in shop with hydraulic, electrical and air systems.
• License: Driver’s License.
• Provide and maintain basic hand and diagnostic tools.

Responsibilities

• Safety & Inspection: Perform thorough inspections and follow lockout/tagout procedures.
• Execution: Carry out maintenance tasks following blueprints and torque specs.
• Equipment Operation: Use diagnostic tools to identify mechanical problems.
• Material Handling: Manage parts, lubricants, and fluids per procedures.
• Reporting: Report issues and safety concerns to management.
• Communication: Communicate maintenance needs and updates clearly.
• Compliance & Documentation: Complete service reports and safety checklists.
• Adaptability & Problem Solving: Diagnose issues and adapt repair approaches.
