Job summary

US Foods in Hurricane, WV seeks a skilled Fleet Mechanic to ensure safe and reliable fleet operation. You will perform diagnostic and preventive maintenance on diesel equipment, coordinate with vendors, and document activities using maintenance software.

Must have 3+ years of hands-on experience, own tools, valid license, and CDL preferred. Benefits start day one and competitive pay with overtime potential.

Qualifications

• 3 years of verifiable hands-on experience as a heavy-duty diesel mechanic.
• Diagnostic and troubleshooting competency relating to equipment repairs.
• Independent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience administering PM programs.
• Must furnish own personal hand tools.
• Able to read and write legibly and perform basic math.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, replace and repair diesel equipment (tractors, trailers, bobtails).
• Perform preventative maintenance within DOT standards.
• Coordinate with third party vendors and business partners on action plans.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment following safety regulations.
• Document repairs and parts used using the fleet maintenance software.
• Be willing to take on increased responsibilities and certifications.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.
