Job summary

Ferguson Enterprises, LLC is hiring a 3rd shift Facilities Automation & Maintenance Technician I in Upper Marlboro, MD. You will inspect and maintain building systems, AutoStore equipment, and perform preventative maintenance to keep operations running smoothly.

The role requires hands-on tool use, basic to intermediate computer skills, and a strong safety mindset. Overtime and weekend work may be necessary to meet business needs.

Qualifications

• Entry level role or 1 year of maintenance/automation experience.
• Warehouse/distribution experience preferred.
• Hands-on experience using tools to troubleshoot, repair and resolve maintenance issues.
• Basic to intermediate computer skills.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy.
• Proven ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong work ethic with reliability and integrity.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections of the facility, grounds, building systems, equipment and AutoStore system; monitor performance and respond to issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on plumbing, electrical, HVAC, generators, and other equipment.
• Maintain testing and service for Fire/Life Safety systems and ensure safety compliance.
• Maintain facility appearance and functionality including lighting and general upkeep.
• Support day-to-day facility needs: moves, setup, spill cleanup, and general tasks.
• Coordinate with vendors/contractors for repairs and services.
• Keep tools and spaces organized and maintain maintenance records.
• Identify and report safety hazards and follow PPE requirements.
• Perform other duties to support operations.
