Job summary

CoreSite is seeking a Manager - Data Center Operations for the night shift in Santa Clara, CA. This role oversees electrical, mechanical, and fire life safety systems, ensuring operational integrity, energy efficiency, and regulatory compliance.

You will manage vendors, projects, and budgets while training technicians and maintaining high service levels. The ideal candidate has 5–7+ years in critical facilities with strong leadership, budgeting, and documentation skills, and is prepared for

Qualifications

• Expert understanding of electrical, mechanical, and fire life safety systems in data centers.
• Strong knowledge of NEC and NFPA codes and building safety standards.
• Experience with vendor, project, and budget management.

Responsibilities

• Data center SME for electrical, mechanical, and fire life safety systems.
• Operate, monitor, maintain, and respond to abnormal conditions in facilities systems.
• Track site efficiencies and energy consumption; drive efficiency improvements.
• Manage shifts, mentor junior staff, and supervise technicians.
• Lead vendor management, procurement, and contract administration.
• Prepare detailed maintenance procedures and ensure SLA compliance.
• Oversee budgeting, ROI modeling, and CAPEX/OPEX forecasting.
• Ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
