Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) is seeking a Critical Facilities Engineer for the night shift at a Chicago area data center. You will oversee mechanical, electrical and controls systems, perform preventative maintenance and respond to alarms to keep operations running reliably.

Requirements include a Local 399 Operating Engineer license, a high school diploma or GED, and 4+ years in mechanical/electrical/HVAC with BAS/EPMS knowledge. On-site work with some long hours and on-call duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 4 years of mechanical, electrical, HVAC experience including Rooftop Units.
• Knowledge of building automation, water treatment and fire life safety systems.
• Ability to lift up to 50–100 pounds and work long hours or weekends, on-call.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine rounds of data center equipment and monitor BAS/EPMS.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and controls equipment.
• Safely operate man lifts and forklifts for access and material handling.
• Document readings and maintenance in logs or CMMS.
• Assist with vendor coordination and support emergency procedures.
• Maintain inventory and participate in safety training.
