Job summary

Sonora Quest Laboratories in Phoenix, Arizona is seeking a Cytology Technician at the CPP I/II level for the Night shift to receive cytology samples and perform processing for high complexity analysis under CLIA ’88 guidelines.

You will support department compliance with accrediting bodies (CLIA, JCAHO, CAP, OSHA) and report to the department supervisor; CPP I/II responsibilities include primary and standardized tasks with quality, maintenance, and specialty duties in Order Entry or Gyn Prep, as

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Good reading, writing and math abilities are required.
• Communicates effectively in oral and written formats sufficient to demonstrate comprehension.
• Able to perform detailed work; work with frequent interruptions in stressful environment, multi-task, problem solve and memorization.

Responsibilities

• Receives Cytology samples and processes for high complexity analysis.
• Assists with department compliance with CLIA '88, JCAHO, CAP, OSHA and regulatory requirements.
• CPP I is proficient in Primary Tasks and Secondary Standardized Tasks; CPP II is proficient in all Primary Tasks and Secondary Standardized Tasks.
