Job summary

CACI International Inc. is seeking a Cyber Monitoring Analyst to join the Cyber Security Incident Response Team for the AF DCGS program at Langley AFB, VA. The role requires handling real-time threat detection and log analysis with ELK/Elastic Stack in a high-tempo, 24/7 environment.

You will monitor security alerts, escalate incidents, and document case timelines while collaborating with IR, threat hunting, and vulnerability teams. A TS/SCI clearance and 8570 IAT Level II are required.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years in cyber operations or monitoring; degree may be substituted.
• DOD 8140 (8570) IAT Level II (Security+ or equivalent).
• Experience with Elastic Stack for log analysis and real-time monitoring.
• Ability to work independently on a 24/7 shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor security alerts and system logs across the OA DCGS weapon system.
• Utilize ELK/Elastic Stack to conduct real-time log analysis and maintain dashboards.
• Escalate and document security events using ticketing systems to appropriate tiers.
• Follow SOPs and IR playbooks to ensure consistent monitoring.
• Maintain documentation of monitoring activities and incident timelines.
• Review SIEM alerts and threat intel to identify IOCs and escalation opportunities.
• Collaborate with incident response, threat hunting, and vulnerability teams.
• Operate independently during shifts, responding to alerts promptly.
• Support penetration testing evaluations by responding to simulated threats and measure KPIs.
